My wife was solicited at HEB by a representative of the Midland Reporter Telegram to receive a daily delivery of the newspaper. We live in a rural area and the MRT hasn't to my knowledge delivered here in 10 or more years. The representative indicated that our address showed that they delivered the paper so she signed up. It was suppose to commence on April 15, 2017. We did not receive the paper and on or about April 18, 2017 I called and they said they would send the carrier back with the paper. We did not receive the paper. I called again just before noon and they said they would escalate it. I did receive the paper the next day and there after for approximately through April 30, 2017. I have not receive the paper delivered since. I called every day last week and went through an automatic voice system and filed a complaint and a credit. I finally got through to a person on May 5, 2017 who said they would have a supervisor call me within 24 - 48 hours. I did not receive a call back period. I called again today and the person indicated the paper was undeliverable in our area. I asked why and they couldn't tell me. I asked to speak to a supervisor and also told me the same thing that the paper was undeliverable. I asked why that was when they had delivered for a week and 1/2. They didn't know. I asked why no one called to tell us that when it hasn't been delivered for over a week now. They couldn't seem to answer that question either. I just find that it is extremely poor customer service to solicit business and deliver a paper and then all of a sudden stop without an explanation such as the carrier quit or the carrier was mad because we way out of their way or something. Any explanation other than being deliverable and now not deliverable and more important not informing us when it happened and wasting my time for over a week now calling in every day. Extremely disappointed with the customer service at the Midland Reporter Telegram... Read More
